Overcut named in the 2026 Gartner® Innovation Insight: AI Software Factories report

Overcut is named as an example of a horizontal agentic software engineering platform in Gartner's Innovation Insight: AI Software Factories (September 2026).

According to the report, “The objective of an AI software factory is maximum safe flow from intent to validated outcome, with human judgment applied only where it adds most value.”

We see the same thing with customers. The goal is not to remove engineers from the loop. It is to stop them spending their day moving work between tools. Overcut runs deterministic steps where an organization needs predictability and agentic steps where an agent can plan its own path, inside guardrails the organization sets for each use case. It connects to the repositories, trackers and pipelines teams already run, rather than replacing them.

Overcut is used in production by engineering teams including Zesty.
